Harold Lloyd’s “For Heaven’s Sake”

Several scenes from Lloyd’s 1926 comedy For Heaven’s Sake were shot on Larchmont Boulevard. In this scene, Lloyd’s character, J. Harold Manners, is seen herding a group of drunk men onto a Los Angeles Railway ‘D’ line Yellow Car in front of 113 N. Larchmont. The film was one of Lloyd’s most successful films and the 12th highest-grossing film of the silent era, pulling in $2,600,000 according to Variety (June 21, 1932).
